No. 1 "ice cream" No. 6 "rollercoasters" No. 517 "Knowing someone well enough to get them to check your teeth for broccoli" Every Brilliant Thing is a heart wrenching and hilarious one-man play told with the help of the audience. Together, they learn how to achieve hope by focusing on the smallest miracles of life.

Austin Playhouse is a professional regional theatre, founded in August of 2000. Over fifty of Austin's leading theatre artists, administrators, and volunteers who had worked with Producing Artistic Director Don Toner to build Austin’s State Theatre Company into one of the city’s leading arts organizations, joined him in creating this new professional theatre for Austin. On November 27, 2000 Austin Playhouse was granted 501(c)(3) status by the Internal Revenue Service.
