Martha Graham Dance Company is now on stage as part of the City Center Dance Festival. We attended the production of their Program A that will also be presented on Saturday evening, April 9th.

The world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company returns to New York City Center April 6, 7, 9, and 10 as part of the inaugural City Center Dance Festival.

A lost 1952 dance creation by Martha Graham herself—a primal artistic force of the 20th century—is reborn with the Martha Graham Dance Company's World Premiere of The New Canticle for Innocent Comedians at The Soraya on Saturday, March 19 at 8pm.

Last seen at the Kennedy Center in 2008, the world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company returns with The EVE Project, March 5a?"7.  Created in celebration of the centennial of the 19th amendment this year, which gave American women the right to vote, The EVE Project is a collection of new commissions and signature Graham classics that make impactful statements about female power.

The world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company presents the second season of The EVE Projecta?"a program celebrating female empowerment and the centennial of the 19th Amendment this year. The New York City Center season features acclaimed classics from Graham's repertory alongside works by some of today's top choreographers, including a world premiere by Andrea Miller and recent commissions from Pam Tanowitz and Maxine Doyle and Bobbi Jene Smith. Prima ballerina Diana Vishneva will be a guest star at the gala evening dancing Graham's Deep Song. Music for all of the Graham classics will be played live by The Mannes Orchestra. Performances are Wednesday, April 22 at 7pm (Opening Night Gala), Thursdaya?"Friday, April 23a?"24 at 8pm, Saturday, April 25 at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday, April 26 at 2pm.

At the elegant Soroya Theatre in Northridge, CA, Martha Graham's Dance Company, under Artistic Director Janet Eilber's seasoned guidance, performed a most incredible group of works.  Some were originally created approximately 80 years ago, by Martha Graham, a true icon in the Dance world.  The EVE Project, as this evening, March 2nd, 2019 was entitled, gave us a wide variety of themes within a theme, that being Women and their significance, their power, their passion and their strength.  It was polished to perfection, and each piece carried many meanings and concepts and was just so beautifully performed and articulated. The Martha Graham Dance Company is the oldest contemporary dance company in the United States, founded in 1926.  Since it's inception it has explored and encompassed political and humanitarian issues, as well as affairs of the heart and human interactions, while creating a prolific dance technique that is unequaled in it's scope.  Graham created a total of 181 ballets during her long career, and is recognized as a primal artistic force of the 20th century, being named in 1998 as 'Dancer of the Century' in Time magazine, and labeled one of the female 'Icons of the Century' by People Magazine.

In celebration of the upcoming 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment granting women the power to vote, the Martha Graham Dance Company has created The EVE Project, a two-year initiative, which will be performed at the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts (The Soraya) on Saturday, March 2. 

The fourth annual 'American Dance Platform' is now on stage at The Joyce from January 3-7 2019. The performances feature six of our nation's captivating companies in three inspired, shared programs.

Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts' Live & Local Fridays concert series opens on Sept. 7 and showcases eight Arizona groups spanning rockabilly-honky tonk, indie-folk, African rhythms, blues, hip-hop, folk-rock, jazz, indie-rock and pop on Friday evenings through Sept. 28.

The season will feature several of Martha Graham's most important masterworks, including Chronicle (1936), Appalachian Spring (1944), Cave of the Heart (1946), Lamentation (1930), and Night Journey (1947).

The world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company celebrates its 90th anniversary season with four extraordinary programs at New York City Center, April 14?18, 2016. Two weeks of concerts in November will feature Atlanta Symphony Orchestra musicians as soloists. Guest Conductor Oliver Knussen will return to Atlanta Symphony Hall to lead Concertmaster David Coucheron, Principal Cello Christopher Rex, and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in Brahms?fs Double Concerto in A minor on November 10 and 12 at 8:00 p.m., and November 13, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center. Mr. Knussen will also lead the Orchestra in the Atlanta Symphony premiere of his own composition, Symphony in One Movement. The concert will also include the Atlanta Symphony premiere of the Overture to Britten?fs The Building of the House and The Young Person?fs Guide to the Orchestra.
