Michael Gnat is an inaugural IT Award nominee and a 2009 NYTheatre.com Person of the Year. Recent roles include Al/Marbury/BB in Eddie Antar’s Drama Desk–nominated 'The Navigator'; Anton Chekhov in John McKinney’s 'The Chekhov Dreams'; and Edwin Booth in Bob Manus’s 'A Man Walks into a Bar' (all IT-winning or ?nominated plays; WorkShop Theater). Other stage highlights: besieged Jack Blake in Mike Folie’s thriller 'Slave Shack' (Algonquin); Malvolio in 'Twelfth Night' (DrillingCo.); 19thC performer T.D. Rice in Henry Meyerson’s 'Jump Jim Crow' (MITF); and homeless Pigeon in Michael Niederman’s T'he Riverside Symphony' (Planet Connections, “Outstanding Actor” award).
