HANNAH CHURCH graduated this winter from Rockford College with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Her regional credits include SPRING AWAKENING (Wendla Bergmann/Roxy Regional Theatre), SOUND OF MUSIC (Liesel/Roxy Regional), HAPPY DAYS (Joanie Cunningham/Roxy Regional), INTO THE WOODS (Rapunzel/Roxy Regional), HELLO DOLLY! (Minnie Faye/The Round Barn Theatre), and quite a few more. Some of her favorite roles include "Wendla" (Spring Awakening), "Anne" (Diary of Anne Frank), "Armanda" (The Glorious Ones), and "Dainty June" (Gypsy). Hannah has also written two musicals, the first titled "The Yellow Wallpaper: A Musical Adaptation" which has been produced regionally; and a one act about an Irish Immigrant trapped in the Triangle Factory Fire titled "The Spirit From the Sea". She will be returning this spring to the Roxy Regional Theatre to perform the role of Juliet in ROMEO AND JULIET, and Wendy in PETER PAN.

BWW Review: NELL GWYNN shows 17th Century humor and heart at Synchronicty Theatre


Atlanta's Synchronicity Theatre opens its 21st Season with Jessica Swale's NELL GWYNN, a comedy based on the true story of an orange vendor who becomes one of the most celebrated actresses in 17th Century London - and King Charles II's mistress. The play follows Nell from rags to riches, as she transforms from a bawdy orange seller on the street to a revered actress, who was ahead of her time during an era where it was a novelty to see women grace the stage. Accompanied by friends, theatre colleagues, and her lover the King, Nell finds herself ascending to high society while trying to forget her meager background. The cast includes Courtney Moors as Nell, Eugene H. Russell as Charles Hart, Robert Shaw-Smith as King Charles accompanied by a talented ensemble.

Atlanta Musical Theatre Festival Sets Inaugural Lineup


The Atlanta Musical Theatre Festival is thrilled to announce the selections for the inaugural Atlanta Musical Theatre Festival (AMTF), which will be held August 1 and 2, 2016, at Actor's Express and Synchronicity Theatre. The AMTF will be two days and nights of original musical theatre performances by local artists, as well as showcase performances of professional productions and educational groups. Performances will be open to the artistic community, the public, and the press. More than twenty submissions were accepted and four shows have been selected for the inaugural event. Tickets are $27.50 for a single event to $80 for a full festival pass (including all taxes and fees), and are on sale now at ActorsExpress.com.
