Michael Repper, Christine Lamprea to Debut at Carnegie Hall November 19
Newly appointed music director Michael Repper leads the New York Youth Symphony Orchestra in its 55th season opening concert on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 2:00pm at Carnegie Hall, Stern Auditorium/Perelman stage. The program marks Mr. Repper's Carnegie Hall debut as conductor, and will feature Roy & Shirley Durst Debut Artist Christine Lamprea, performing Schumann's Cello Concerto in A minor, op. 129. The program will also include Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 2 in E minor, op. 27, and the world premiere of First Music award winner Hilary Purrington's Daylight.

In January, twenty of the brightest talents on Broadway were featured in Broadway Sings P!NK, the latest concert in the Broadway Sings concert series. The tribute concerts take the music of well-known music icons and create new, unique arrangements and orchestrations by twisting the style to fit the strength of the performer. Previous concerts have included Adele, Stevie Wonder, and Justin Timberlake; this May, producer Corey Mach (Godspell, Wicked) and music director Joshua Stephen Kartes will present Broadway Sings Bruno Mars.
