WINNER of the Soho Playhouse Lighthouse Series 2023. We begin at the end. Two people are alone, covered in blood, and looking very guilty. It’s not what it looks like. At least, that’s what they what you to think. To prove their innocence, they go back to the beginning with their own version of events. As tensions rise, their narrative begins to crumble and the truth comes out. “It’s Not What It Looks Like” is a story that grapples with the humor, anxiety and reality of grief, while struggling with what it means to be a seen as a good person. Even if you don’t think you are one. At all. Written by John Collins, collaboration by Chesney Mitchell, directed by Vincent DeGeorge.
Coming off the massive success of the Lighthouse Series 2022's winner, JOB, with two sold out runs, and with the 2023 winner IT'S NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE primed to take the stage later this summer, SoHo Playhouse has announced the 2024 Lighthouse Series lineup.
