YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN - The 14th St Y

*Seeking Plus-Size Non-Eq Actors For Fat-Positive, Queer-Positive Production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown*

Broadway Bods, New York’s first fat-positive theater company, will be holding in-person auditions for their spring production of YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN to be held April 26-28 at the 14th Street Y.

The mission of Broadway Bods is to provide opportunities for performers living in larger bodies, showcase stories that share real lived experiences, and create an inclusive, safe theatre space for both performers and audiences. Broadway Bods prioritizes the work of artists living in plus-size or fat bodies, those who fall under the queer & trans umbrella, those who are neurodiverse and disabled, and those who are Black, Indigenous, AAPI, Latine/Hispanic, and/or people of color; we invite all those who feel strongly aligned with our mission to audition.

Auditions will be IN-PERSON in 2 locations: The Attic @ The Tank*, 312 W 36th St, on Saturday, February 24 from 10am-3pm, and Abron Arts Center**, 466 Grand St, on Sunday, February 25 10am-5pm, with callbacks to be held on Monday, February 26 from 6-10pm. Please see accessibility information for both locations below. Prepare 16 bars of an uptempo MT song that shows characterization. We encourage all gender identities and expressions to bring their perspectives to the roles.

If you absolutely cannot make in-person auditions, please contact Grace at
executive@broadwaybods.com to request a video submission form. You MUST be able to attend in-person callbacks on Monday, February 26. We will not accept any self-tapes without the request and form.

Rehearsals will likely begin on February 29 and run on weekday evenings and some weekend afternoons, but can be adjusted based on the directors' and actors' needs. All actors will be paid a stipend of $100 for the role.
