WHY WE TELL THE STORY is a 90-minute presentation of songs from the composing team Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty whose works include Broadway’s RAGTIME, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, SEUSSICAL and most recently ROCKY and ANASTASIA. WHY WE TELL THE STORY is presented by Spotlight Repertory Theatre and Phil Hall. This revue style concert is performed by a company of 8 singers (4M, 4W). WHY WE TELL THE STORY celebrates the prolific career of Ahrens and Flaherty with highlights of their most popular shows as well as their lesser known musicals such as DESSA ROSE, LUCKY STIFF, A MAN OF NO IMPORTANCE and MY FAVORITE YEAR.
