Our 2013 summer sing-along series has finished and we were pleased to welcome many of you for at least one or two of them. It's a great way to keep the voice up to speed during the relaxing summer months and to be ready for the annual September restart!
Lakeshore Light Opera is pleased to be presenting The Yeomen of the Guard in March, 2014 and our season is about to get under way. We have an Open House at the Church of Saint John the Baptist in Pointe Claire on Tuesday, September 3rd., starting at 8 pm.. Everyone is welcome to attend. It's a good chance to meet the directors and the members of LLO. We will sing through Yeomen and, if it's new to you, will introduce you to the opera characters. Then, you can decide whether you'd like to audition. We are looking for chorus singers in all voice parts as well as filling a large number of principal roles.
Principal auditions will be held at the church on Friday, September 6th., starting at 7 pm. - appointments required. Chorus auditions and principal call-backs (as necessary) will be on Tuesday, September 10th., also at the church. Full details can be found on our website at

The Yeomen of the Guard is Sullivan's most classical of the opera series and offers principals and chorus alike many opportunities for dramatic singing. However, if singing isn't your cup of tea, we are still looking for volunteers who would like to be involved in make-up, costumes, front-of-house, backstage and many more activities.
