The Rev Theatre Company’s 2020 Audition Season
to include Auburn, NY, New York City and Los Angeles
The Rev Theatre Company (formerly Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival / MGR Playhouse) announces auditions for its upcoming 2020 Audition Season as it kicks off its annual nationwide search for talent. Producing Artistic Director, Brett Smock states, “Each year, we are in awe of the talent that comes our way during our expansive audition process. Here in Auburn, the scope of our local auditions has increased dramatically as actors from all over the country descend upon Auburn for the weekend. It’s become a major event, kicking off a three-month, three-city journey that typically involves us seeing over 4,500 actors.” The Rev Theatre Company actively encourages and practices non-traditional casting to expand opportunities for all ethnicities, genders, senior performers and performers with disabilities.
The audition tour launches with local auditions in Auburn, NY, which will be held, by appointment only, on January 24, 25 and 26, 2020. Auditions include both Equity and Non Equity access. To schedule an Auburn audition appointment, visit

Feb 6 – Open Call for Male and Female Non Equity Singers (sign up begins at 7am)
Feb 8 – Open Call for Male and Female Non Equity Dancers (sign up begins at 8am)

THE REV’s 2020 Season
The 2020 mainstage Season comes out swinging June 10 – July 1 with Rocky, The Musical -- the US regional premiere of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty’s (Ragtime, Anastasia, Once On This Island, Seussical and more) musical adaptation of the iconic film. Opening on July 8, Witness Uganda, A New Musical, by Griffin Matthews and Matt Gould, is the transcendent and inspirational true story about changing the world one child at a time (
www.witnessuganda.com). Opening August 5, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s State Fair will dance onto the Playhouse stage in a lavish song and dance production for the entire family. As a special engagement, Dixie Longate returns with her original hit, Dixie’s Tupperware Party from August 28 – September 3. Concluding the 2020 mainstage Season is the beloved rock ‘n roll tribute, Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story which runs September 16 – October 7.
