You must be signed in no later than 6:15 pm. A dance combination will be taught prior to singing, but the dance audition will take place after singing.
We are looking for risk takers and emphasize that this is an adult show.
Everyone auditioning must be comfortable with sexual themes, suggestive movement, suggestive costuming and strong language.
**AUDITIONEES MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD AT THE TIME OF AUDITIONS.**
NO EXCEPTIONS!
In addition to principal roles, we will be using an ensemble of 4 men and 4 women, as well as a dancing core of 5 dancers.
ATTIRE: You must wear comfortable clothes to dance in, form fitting allowing for movement. Sneakers or dance shoes are mandatory. If you are auditioning for the dance core, you must bring a high heel, no less than 3 inches, supportive but preferably no straps. Heels with platform soles and heeled boots are also appropriate. Core dancers must not wear character shoes.
PREPARATION: Everyone auditioning must prepare the chosen selection for their desired role. We will not hear anything other than what has been selected. (Selections can on our website: www.portlandplayers.org/audition-announcements.) Everyone will be singing on microphone with a live band. There will be no readings at auditions. There will be no acapella auditions. Please come prepared to list any rehearsal conflicts that you may have.
CALLBACKS: Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 7:00pm
Callbacks will consist of: singing additional materials, cold readings and a second dance audition.
