Casting for the roles of Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, and Sam Phillips

Sunday, January 8th, 1pm – Auditions for the role of Sam Phillips
Sunday, January 8th, 2:30p – Callbacks

The Circuit Playhouse, 51 S. Cooper Street (Formerly the Memphian Theatre – a favorite stomping ground of Elvis!)
Auditions slots will be held in 5-minute increments. Walk ups are welcome but in order to best manage your time and maximize your time with the Directors, please set up a time slot with Director of Auditions Courtney Oliver. Email

CASTING:
Casting Male Actor/Singer/Musicians in their early-mid 20s to portray the roles of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and late 20s/early 30s actor for Sam Phillips (Non-Singing). Preparatory research is easy to find with these men – particularly at Sun Studios right here in Memphis, Tennessee!
**Please Note – The Role of Jerry Lee Lewis has been filled by Associate Company Member Nathan McHenry
WHAT TO PREPARE:
For the role of Elvis Presley: Please Prepare “That’s Alright Mama”
For the role of Johnny Cash: Please Prepare “Walk the Line”
For the role of Carl Perkins: Please Prepare “Blue Suede Shoes”, Advanced guitar skills are required for those actors auditioning for Carl Perkins. Please bring a guitar to accompany yourself, if you are unable to bring a guitar, one will be provided for you.
For the role of Sam Phillips: Prepare for cold-readings from the script.
ALL: Please bring a headshot and resume and make yourself familiar with this show.
