METROLINA THEATRE ASSOCIATION announces 6^th annual

UNIFIED AUDITIONS EVENT FOR ACTORS AND TECHNICIANS

To be held Saturday, August 4th at ImaginOn

The MTA Unified Audition 2012 is launching a brand new format! In order to reach out regionally to theatre companies, casting directors and producers, we are moving to a digital platform that will allow us to showcase our local talent throughout the Southeast (NC, SC, TN, VA, GA, FL).

Audition packages include MTA membership, headshots, and 90 second video audition.

Audition Package Options

Package A- $25

• 2012-2013 MTA membership ($15 value)
• Headshot session, 1 jpg provided
• Professional video of two 90 second auditions

Package B- $50

• 2012-2013 MTA membership ($15 value)
• Headshot session, 2 JPG files provided
• Professional video of two 90 second auditions, with electronic access to one video file

Package C-$75

• 2012-2013 MTA membership ($15 value)
• Headshot session, 2 JPG files provided
• Professional video of two 90 second auditions, with electronic access to both video files

Auditions are by appointment only.

ACTOR REGISTRATION:

Actors should prepare a monologue (or contrasting monologues). Singers may bring music to sing 16 bars of a song; an accompanist will be provided. Total video time is 90 seconds. Actors are asked to submit a registration form online along with a copy of their resume.

Both Equity and non-Equity actors are invited to attend. Ethnically diverse actors are especially encouraged to attend.

TECHNICIAN REGISTRATION:

Designers, puppeteers, stage managers, acting teachers, costumers, carpenters, techies – If you work behind the scenes and want to have your portfolio or resume sent out to the contact list, you may register for the event and we will send out your information to the same contacts. Current MTA membership required for registration.
