We strongly encourage performers of all ages, abilities and ethnicities to audition!

ADULTS PLEASE PREPARE:
16 bars of contemporary musical theatre, pop, or rock. *Please do not* audition with Golden Age or classic musical theatre songs. Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key – an accompanist will be provided. You will be asked to learn a short dance/movement combination. Please wear/bring shoes/clothing that allows movement. ALL ADULTS MUST ATTEND THE DANCE CALL TO BE CONSIDERED.
Adult actors who are cast will be offered stipends.

SEEKING:
JOSEPH (Male, 20s) Handsome, idealistic, able to carry a show. The hero of our story. Must be likable with excellent voice.
NARRATOR (Female 20s - 40s) Leads us through the story. Must be comfortable singing in many different styles.
JACOB/POTIPHAR (Male, 40s - 60s) Funny, dynamic, and versatile actor to play these two important roles. Strong actor and singer, moves well, must have excellent comic timing.
PHARAOH (Male, 30s - 40s) Pharaoh is the most powerful man in Egypt, and considered a god on earth. The character style is an homage to Elvis. Strong actor and singer, moves very well.
MRS. POTIPHAR: (Female, 30s-60s) Female, Mrs. Potiphar is an indulgent woman who likes to get her own way, and thinks first and foremost about her own personal gratification. She is razor sharp, beautiful and confident.
BROTHERS (11 Males, 20s - 30s) Males of all shapes, sizes, and ethnicities to also double as various roles in the Ensemble. The brothers are a larger than life group of men with distinct personalities, excellent voices, and excellent movement ability. (Seeking 11 Men - *women may play brothers as well)
WIVES (6 Females, 20s - 30s) Play wives of Jacob and the brothers. Females of various shapes, sizes, and ethnicities to also double as various roles in the ensemble. Seeking dynamic, powerful vocalists who move well. (Seeking 6 Women)

CHILDREN’S CHORUS AUDITION INFORMATION
Seeking children ages 6-11 — Boys and Girls
Children’s Chorus auditions: Saturday, October 28th: 11am-1pm

The Children's Chorus is a group of acting, singing, and dancing children that will be used throughout the show to aid in telling the story. The children should sound like a choir. All children auditioning will learn a song from the show at the audition and then sing that song both in a group and individually for the creative team. Please listen to the song (from the Joseph cast recording) “Any Dream Will Do” in preparation. No other prepared material is necessary.
*The rehearsal process for the children will be structured similarly to a camp or class on a recurring bi-weekly schedule until two weeks before the performance where the schedule will become more frequent.

Adult rehearsals begin in early November and will be up to three weeknights and 1 weekend day based on cast availability. Please attend auditions with a list of your conflicts from November 1st through January 29th.

JOSEPH…will play at SNUG HARBOR’S MUSIC HALL
Thursday, January, 25 to Sunday, January 28 for five performances.
