Audition for new street-theater musical 99% Stone (April 30-May 2)

We're seeking non-union actors/singers for a new street-theater musical, 99% Stone by Letta Neely and Melissa Li, to be performed June 2 through June 23, 2012 at various locations throughout Boston and Cambridge. A new guerrilla musical, 99% Stone takes to the streets with the liberating energy of a flash mob and the urgency of a pepper spray blast. The 1969 Stonewall Uprising was the original Queer Occupy Action. In 99% Stone, the story of how a few young Flame Queens and Stone Butch Dykes got fed up, fought back, and sparked an international movement that burst to life.

AUDITION: Monday, April 30, 2012: 6:00 – 9PM
Wednesday, May 2, 2012: 6:30 – 7:30PM
Wednesday, May 2 Call Backs 7:30- 9:30PM

For first auditions, please prepare the following:

  • Up to 32 bars of an up-tempo song from a musical
  • Sheet music with start and ending clearly marked (accompanist will be provided)
  • You may bring a recording but must bring playing device with you; no a cappella please
  • Please bring head shot and resume to the audition
