12 Peers Theater 2019 Season Audition - Pittsburgh OPEN Calls by Appt.

Seeking versatile & diverse Non-Equity performers for EVERYBODY & MYTHBURGH. Please see character breakdown below.

PREPARATION
MONOLOGUE: Please prepare one contemporary monologue, not to exceed two minutes. You may be asked for an additional piece, so please have a second monologue prepared as well.

Please bring copy of headshot and resume, stapled together.

Rehearsal Dates:
Everybody: June 18 – July 26. Tech rehearsals July 27 – August 1

Performances Dates at the University of Pittsburgh Richard E. Rauh Studio Theatre (13 performances, including preview performance):

Everybody: August 2 – 18; Thursday-Saturday 8:00PM, Sunday 2:00PM, Monday, August 12 8:00PM.

Performance Dates at Brillobox:

Mythburgh: 1-2 rehearsals prior to 1 performance with shows April 14, October 13, November 10

OTHER
A stipend will be provided to actors cast in Everybody.

EVERYBODY

The play is written for a company of nine performers of varying generations and gender and ethnic identities.

GIRL/TIME (auditions will be held at a TBD time for this role)

SOMEBODIES: played by five actors until they become something else. These characters will be determined via a lottery during the show and will be different every night. Performers will need to learn the tracks of the following roles:
EVERYBODY, FRIENDSHIP, STRENGTH, KINSHIP, BEAUTY, COUSIN, MIND, STUFF, SENSES

Diverse actors to play characters in new plays for a series of new short plays about myths in the Greater Pittsburgh area. These actors may be part of a recurring cast that performs in multiple performances or they may be in one performance.
