Told in three separate one-act stories, the World Premiere of Leda Siskind's play THE SURVEILLANCE TRIOLOGY explores the ways in which private citizens have become victims of ever-present eavesdropping by forces able to be kept secret until the damage has been done. Directed by Amanda Conlon at Theatre 40, ultimately you may just walk out at the end wondering just how you are being watched and for just what purpose, especially when you turn your cell phone back on and begin interacting with it.

Kate Baldwin returns to Feinstein's/54 Below this month, direct from the hit Broadway revival of Hello, Dolly! Kate was nominated for the 2017 Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critic's Circle awards for her performance as Irene Molloy. Kate previewed the show recently and BroadwayWorld was there! This spring, Theatrical Outfit proudly presents 110 in the Shade, the sizzling Broadway musical adaptation of the beloved classic play The Rainmaker by N. Richard Nash with music and lyrics from the duo behind The Fantasticks, Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones. Directed by Artistic Director Tom Key with musical direction by S. Renee Clark (Big Fish, Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill) and choreography by Angela Harris, The Outfit's 110 in the Shade features a diverse ensemble of fifteen performers and concludes Theatrical Outfit's 2017- 2018 Season of Character.

Australian Director Gary Young has reinterpreted MAMMA MIA! for Australian audiences, delivering a fresh new take on the work, 19 years after it debuted on the West End.

Broadway spouses Kate Baldwin and Graham Rowat are both stars in their own right. Baldwin is currently in Hello, Dolly! and Rowat was most recently seen in the 2017 revival of Sunset Boulevard. To ring in the new year, Theatrical Outfit proudly stages Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill, a riveting look into one of jazz and blues legend Billie Holiday's final performances, starring Atlanta's own Terry Burrell (Alliance Theatre's Ethel; Broadway's Thoroughly Modern Millie, DreamGirls, Into the Woods). Set in a seedy bar in Philadelphia's south side in 1959, Lady Day features twelve beloved songs and lays bare the humor and hurt of one of the most beloved singers and complex personalities of all time. Directed by Atlanta's Eric J. Little (The Outfit's Thurgood) with musical direction by S. Renee Clark (The Outfit's Big Fish), Lady Day runs January 11 February 4, 2018 and continues Theatrical Outfit's bold 2017- 2018 Season of Character.

Following a brief hiatus for the holidays, Firebrand Theatre is pleased to announce its hit rock musical LIZZIE will return for two additional weeks of performances, January 3 14, 2018 at The Den Theatre's Bookspan Theatre, 1333 N. Kelsey Grammer stars in BIG FISH THE MUSICAL as Edward Bloom, alongside Clare Burt and more. Based on the novel BIG FISH by Daniel Wallace and the Columbia Pictures film screenplay by John August, this new production will be the London premiere of the musical and also marks Kelsey's first time on the London stage.

The Sarah Siddons Society of Chicago honored its 2017 recipients of the prestigious Actor of the Year Award in a lavish event this week at the Hilton Orrington Hotel in Evanston. Kate Baldwin, this year's HELLO DOLLY! Tony nominee for Best Supporting Actress, and Kate Shindle, 1998 Miss America, and current star of the national tour of FUN HOME, received their award at a Gala Awards event on Monday, September 18th, at the Hilton Orrington Hotel in Evanston. Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn opened to a packed house at Theatre at the Center on Sunday night. Audience members leapt to their feet at the end of the performance of the now Jeff-Recommended production. Actors James Romney in the role of Huck and Jonathan Butler-Duplessis in the role of Jim lead the cast in the musical that continues through October 15.

With the aim of inspiring performance and recognizing the importance of musical theater and arts education in Northeast Ohio high schools, Playhouse Square proudly held its inaugural Dazzle Awards ceremony on Saturday, May 21. The Dazzle Awards are affiliated with the National High School Musical Theatre Awards ("The Jimmy Awards") presented by The Broadway League Foundation.
