Madison Lyric Stage, an award-winning, professional theater company serving the Connecticut Shoreline, will present the Connecticut premier of the American musical drama Of Mice and Men May 31 - June 9 at the historic Deacon John Grave House and Farm in Madison, CT. This will be an immersive production for a maximum of 40 audience members per performance.

As 2018 comes to a close, we are reflecting on those we have lost in the Broadway and theatre communities throughout the year.

Leading off the cast is Salome B. Smith in the role of 'Dorothy'. Smith is a recent graduate of Alabama State University where she performed in many theatrical productions including The Color Purple, Rent and Carousel. Marva Hicks is playing the role of 'The Wiz'. Hicks has appeared on Broadway in Motown The Musical, Caroline or Change, and The Lion King. Yvette Clark will play the roles of 'Evilene', 'Glinda', and 'Aunt Em'. Clark has appeared in numerous regional productions including Thoroughly Modern Millie, Showboat, Chicago, and Hairspray. Simone Gundy will play the role of 'Addaperle'. Gundy returns to TUTS after starring in the 2017 production of Memphis. Paris Nix is playing 'Tin Man'. Nix was last seen on Broadway in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. Allyson Kaye Daniel is 'Lion'. Daniel most recently appeared at TUTS as 'Miss Jones' in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Her other credits include Newsies, Ghost, and We Will Rock You. Christopher Campbell, who just appeared in the TUTS production of Oklahoma! as Will Parker, will play the role of Scarecrow

Irondale is located at 85 South Oxford Street between Fulton Street and Lafayette Avenue.

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation, the not-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), honored acclaimed Director Julie Taymor with the distinguished 2018 'Mr. Abbott' Award for outstanding artistry and creativity over the course of her career. The Award was presented at the Foundation's annual gala event on April 2, 2018 in New York City, at the Bohemian National Hall.

LAST DITCH PLAYLIST, a new play by Brad Baron, who is also featured in the production along with Ross McCorkell, Amy Stringer and Dontonio Demarco will be presented on August 17, 18 and 19 (Thursday - Saturday) at 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday, August 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Theaterlab, located at 357 West 36th Street, 3rd floor, between 8th and 9th Avenues. The romantic dramedy HAROLD AND MAUDE incorporates elements of dark humor, centering around the exploits of a young man named Harold who is intrigued with his own death, often staging his own suicide to avoid dealing with his overbearing mother who wants nothing more than for Harold to find the 'right' woman to marry who can snap him out of his self-imposed depression and detachment from society. But of course, Harold finds his own way into the arms of romance with 79-year old Maude, a free-spirited woman who teaches 19-year old Harold about living life to its fullest, and eventually that life is the most precious gift of all, even though she has already made plans to end her own life on her own terms.

On Friday, March 31, 2017, The League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW), a not-for-profit organization committed to promoting visibility and increasing opportunities for women in the professional theatre, is pleased to recognize the talents of six outstanding women: Carol Hall, Linda Cho, Lilieana Blain-Cruz, Liesl Tommy, Jess Chayes and Emily Simoness.

The Group Rep extends their well-received production of Agatha Christie's New York Critic's Circle Award-winning play, Witness for the Prosecution, directed by Jules Aaron and featuring Guest Artist Salome Jens, a mystery about a man on trial for murder whose enigmatic wife is called as a 'witness for the prosecution' whereupon a series of plot twists, deceptions and lies are dramatically uncovered. The Pasadena Playhouse presents their first development production, under the theater's new play development program PlayWorks, Dotson Rader's GOD LOOKED AWAY starring Academy Award- and two-time Tony Award-winner Al Pacino (Scent of a Woman) as 'Tennessee Williams' and co-starring two-time Tony Award-winner Judith Light (Transparent) as Williams' close friend 'Estelle' and Miles Gaston Villanueva (CBS's The Young and the Restless) as 'Baby.'
