Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the complete cast and creative team for Tracy Letts' award-winning play, August: Osage County. Directed by Obie Award winner Sam Gold, the dark comedy will run in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, May 7 - June 12. Preview performances run May 7 - May 11. Opening night is Thursday, May 12 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are currently available by subscription only. Film and television star Will Ferrell's upcoming Broadway debut in his new one-man show 'You're Welcome America. A Final Night with George W Bush' will officially open on Thursday, February 5th, 2009. Previews began on January 20th. The show is directed by Adam McKay, Ferrell's longtime collaborator, and director of the comedy classics Anchorman, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, and this summer's box office hit Step Brothers. Will Ferrell's upcoming new one-man show 'You're Welcome America A Final Night with George W Bush' tickets are now on-sale to the general public.

Due to popular demand, Steppenwolf Theatre Company is adding five additional performances to its special engagement of Dublin Carol by Conor McPherson, directed by ensemble member Amy Morton. Steppenwolf Theatre Company concludes its 32nd season with the world premiere Superior Donuts by ensemble member and Pulitzer Prize winner Tracy Letts, directed by ensemble member Tina Landau. The production, featuring ensemble members Jon Michael Hill, Yasen Peyankov and James Vincent Meredith, with Jane Alderman, Kate Buddeke, Cliff Chamberlain, Michael Garvey, Robert Maffia and Michael McKean, runs June 19 - August 24, 2008 in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre, 1650 N. Halsted St.

On Wednesday June 11, 2008 the Theatre World Awards for Outstanding Broadway or Off-Broadway Debut performances during the 2007-2008 theatrical season took place. The awards were presented by former Theatre World Award winners, including: Alec Baldwin (Loot, 1986), Griffin Dunne (Search and Destroy, 1992), Alexander Gemignani (Assassins, 2004), Andrea Martin (My Favorite Year, 1993), Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights, 2007), Rosie Perez (References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot, 2001), and B.D. Wong (M. Butterfly, 1988). There were also be performances by former Theatre World Award winners, including: Karen Akers (Nine, 1982), Cheyenne Jackson (All Shook Up, 2005), Carol Lawrence (West Side Story, 1958) and Alice Playten (Henry, Sweet Henry, 1968).

Legendary Broadway performer, Bernadette Peters, recently attended the highly-acclaimed production of August: Osage County at the Imperial Theatre.
