Amelie on Stage Videos - Broadway

This week marked the official opening for the West End premiere of Amélie (which began preview performances at the Criterion Theatre on May 20), so we sent our very own @WestEndReporter Tom Hayden Millward to chat to the show's leading lady, Grammy & Olivier Award nominee Audrey Brisson.

Fueled with determination and a passion for science, a bright young girl builds a rocket ship to the moon to prove the existence of a legendary Moon Goddess. There she ends up on an unexpected quest, and discovers a whimsical land of fantastical creatures.

Center Theatre Group has released a new video in its Scenes From the Vault series. This time, they're flashing back with a clip of Phillipa Soo in the pre-Broadway run of Amelie at the Ahmanson in 2016!

AMELIE, A NEW MUSICAL will begin performances on Broadway on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 W 48th Street) and officially open Monday, April 3, 2017. Directed by Tony Award winner Pam Mackinnon (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?), AMELIE features a book by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award nominee Craig Lucas (The Light in the Piazza), music by Daniel Messe and lyrics by Nathan Tysen & Messe, and musical staging and choreography by Sam Pinkleton.

Based on one of the most overlooked tragedies of the 20th Century, BITTER HARVEST is a powerful story of love, honor, rebellion and survival as seen through the eyes of two young lovers caught in the ravages of Joseph Stalin's genocidal policies against Ukraine in the 1930s. Featuring LES MISERABLES star Samantha Barks, the film just unveiled a new trailer. Check it out below!

Today is the fictional birthday of Parisian waitress, Amelie Poulain, and director, Jean-Pierre Jeunet. Amelie captured hearts in Jeunet's 2001 film, which was nominated for five Academy awards.
