End of the Rainbow on Stage Videos - Broadway

Today we rewind to 2012, when End of the Rainbow arrived on Broadway at the Belasco Theatre, where it played for 160 performances. Starring Tracie Bennett, the musical play focuses on Judy Garland in the months leading up to her death in 1969.

The newest video in the American Theatre Wing's 'Working In Theatre' series offers a fascinating look at the work of two Broadway makeup artists.

THE WIZARD OF OZ NORTH AMERICAN TOUR played its final performance on Sunday, July 17 at the Straz Center in Tampa, FL.  During the tour, Morgan Reynolds (Scarecrow) took fans on a backstage journey down the yellow brick road.  Here is the final installment: An incredible look at 8 months on the road, captured in a second each day.  Check out the video below!

All the Way, the new play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan, starring BREAKING BAD's Bryan Cranston, is currently in previews on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre. The production officially opens on Thursday, March 6, 2014 for a strictly limited engagement. The play is directed by Bill Rauch, Artistic Director of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, where All the Way began its theatrical life. Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Machinal, starring Rebecca Hall, written by Sophie Treadwell and directed by Lyndsey Turner, began previews on December 20, 2013 ahead of an official opening on January 16, 2014 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway. 'End of the Rainbow' begins previews March 12 at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre at the Los Angeles Music Center. Opening night is March 20 and performances run through April 21, 2013. 'End of the Rainbow', written by Peter Quilter and directed by Terry Johnson, features Tracie Bennett reprising her Tony Award-nominated performance as Judy Garland, Michael Cumpsty (also Tony Award-nominated for his role), Erik Heger and Miles Anderson. Former Saturday Night Live funny-girl Cheri Oteri celebrated her opening night in Off-Broadway's NEWSical The Musical on Dec 9th where she is appearing with in the award-winning musical through the end of the month. The Original Broadway Cast Recording of Bring It On: The Musical will be produced by Ghostlight Records and available on Back Lot Music, and available for digital download on iTunes now and in stores October 16, 2012. The cast of Bring It On recorded the album at MSR Studios in New York City on August 9, 10 and 16, 2012 under the direction of Album Producers Alex Lacamoire, Tom Kitt and Kurt Deutsch. Both Michael Crawford and Danielle Hope will both depart the West End production of THE WIZARD OF OZ on February 5, 2012. Both have been with the show since the beginning, and audiences had been following the yellow brick road over the rainbow to see Crawford (as the Wizard) and Danielle Hope (as Dorothy), winner of BBC TV's Over the Rainbow, at The London Palladium. But before they leave, the cast celebrated Crawford's 70th birthday at a recent curtain call.
