Brokaw was raised in Aledo, Illinois, and graduated from the Yale School of Drama. He received a Drama League fellowship and was initially given directing work through Carole Rothman and Robyn Goodman, artistic heads of the Second Stage Theatre.

Todd Haimes joined Roundabout as the Executive Director at the age of 26. From 1983 to 1990, he served in that position, overseeing the company's finances, marketing and fundraising. Mr. Haimes has been the Artistic Director of Roundabout Theatre Company since July 1, 1990, and he became the Artistic Director and CEO in 2015. Prior to joining RTC, Mr. Haimes held positions at Westport Country Playhouse and the Hartman Theatre. He is the former president and currently serves on the board of ART/NY. David Van Tieghem is a multi-talented artist with an impressive resume that includes work in music, theater, film, and television. Born in Illinois in 1955, Van Tieghem began his career as a percussionist and composer, but quickly expanded his talents to include acting and choreography.
Van Tieghem's Broadway debut came in 1983 with the musical "The King and I," in which he played the role of Lun Tha. He also served as the production's percussionist and music arranger.
