Shawnee Mission Park’s “Theatre in the Park,” marks the season with an oddly appropriate July production of “Irving Berlin’s White Christmas.” The item up for view and review is a very nice production of Irving Berlin classic songs and the familiar tale based on a 1954 movie of the same name. There is significantly more Irving Berlin music in the staged musical than in the 1954 film.

Phoenix Theatre Ensemble announces that Bertolt Brecht's political farce, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, will lead off the company's 13th season on October 20 and will play for 21 performances through November 13, 2016 at The Wild Project in the East Village. Directed by Timothy Sheader, Artistic Director of Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, this production will star the versatile and consummate Broadway entertainer Christopher Fitzgerald in the title role.
Once again, Bryant Park will be a destination for film buffs on summer nights in New York City, with an all-star legendary film line up for the 19th year of the HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival presented by Bank of Americaand in association with The Bryant Park Corporation.
