30 days. Alone. Nothing but booze. Can she survive?

‘It Girl’ Amethyst Crystal has just arrived on XXX Island to film what she thinks is the hottest new reality dating show… but is actually a hardcore solo survival challenge. Stranded by producers of failing network ApeTV, she must last 30 days with zero survival skills and enough liquor to haze a whole frat. As her fears begin to manifest, she must brave the elements, drug-induced hallucinations, and a mysterious Production Assistant she can’t stop thinking about…

Join Amethyst on her desperate bid to return home to Instagram fame, brand deals, and heteronormativity. You’re watching real reality TV: a sadistic spectacle sure to be the guiltiest pleasure of all.

XXX Island runs Jan 18-20, 7:30pm at 18th & Union. Get your tickets now, starting at $10! Streaming also available.

Written and performed by Pearl Lam. Directed by Mario Orallo-Molinaro.

Cast and Creative team for XXX Island at 18th & Union

Cast

Pearl Lam

Amethyst
Pearl Lam is a Seattle-based actor and comedian. They are thrilled to be debuting their third solo piece, XXX Island, with such an exceptionally hilarious, talented, and gorgeous cast & creative team. If you are not sick of their face after this, catch them at ComedySportz Seattle or in Seattle Public Theater’s upcoming production of 'Once More, Just For You.' A million thanks to these collaborators, the 18U team, and to you for seeing this show <3

Joshua Hunter

Producer
Joshua Hunter is a Seattle based commercial model, actor and comedian. He has performed in Jet City’s fall annual long-form narrative production “Emerald City Slasher” the last two years, and is an ensemble member at Comedy Sportz Seattle. Pearl and Josh first joined forces on the sketch comedy production “Something Great” in 2023.

Meg Carleton

Production Assistant
Meg Carleton has worked locally as a production manager, stage manager, and actor. She was recently on the production team for Fellow Passengers at Strawberry Theatre Workshop in December. Having last collaborated with Pearl Lam for the short film Limbo, she is so excited to work together again and support her comedy! Special thanks to her friends and family for laughing at her…and with her.

Richard King Lee

Host
Richard King Lee is a comedy writer, actor, and recent LA resident. Their past work includes the sketch/improv AAPI show "Joy Market," award-winning 48 Hour films "Couples' Trip" and "Blood Lust," and comedy sketches on Youtube and Instagram. They are currently taking classes at UCB and are technically still an ensemble member at Comedy Sportz, Jet City Improv, and Bandit Theater, but being over 1000 miles away makes performing live a little difficult. Follow their work @ragustorichard, or don't; free will is a beautiful gift.

Creative Team

Mario Orallo-Molinaro

Director
Mario Orallo-Molinaro (he/him) is honored to direct Pearl’s solo show, "XXX Island." In all honesty, he is one of Pearl’s disciples and believes they are the funniest person in the world. Born and raised in Seattle, WA, Mario is the Executive Artistic Director of Jet City Improv, having directed, coached, and taught improvisation in the PNW for most of his adult life. Mario has collaborated with the Intiman Emerging Artistic Program, WET, Horse in Motion, Pork Filled Productions, The Upfront Theater, Curious Comedy, and the award-winning Dead Parrot Society. Mario loves coffee—hit him up for coffee. He loves that. GO HAWKS!

Grecia Leal Pardo

Stage Manager
Grecia (she/her/ella) is a Latina theatre artist based in Duwamish and Coast Salish lands (Seattle). She’s been lucky to work with various companies around town, including Sound Theatre Company, Pork Filled Productions, and eSe Teatro. Most Recently, she did the Spanish translation for audience materials for the Seattle Rep’s Little Women. Up next, she will be co-Production Managing for SiS and Seattle Public Theater with Unrivaled. She’s so happy to be here tonight and hopes you enjoy the show!
