Continuing its mission to inspire and strengthen communities through the power of music, the LA Phil will present the first-ever Hack Music LA, a multi-disciplinary convening of ideas exploring the intersection of music and technology October 7-8 at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

'Rainbows & Ribbons' a new show by Ross Hewitt will be presented at Don't Tell Mama, 343 West 46th Street, NYC this week on Saturday, March 25 at 5:00 pm. It is a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids and ALL proceeds will go the the organization. Musical director for the production is Phil Hall. The cover is only $20.00 and there is a 2 drink minimum. Information and reservations can be made by calling (212) 757-0788.

New York's Broadway and London's West End have long been the biggest destinations for live theater, and now, a new exhibition opening at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts honors the rich creative talent and award-winning productions in both cities. Co-curated by The Library for the Performing Arts and the V&A, where the exhibition debuted earlier this year, in partnership with the Society of London Theatre (SOLT), Curtain Up: Celebrating the Last 40 Years of Theatre in New York and London highlights how the theatre districts of both cities have flourished and developed since 1976. The exhibition, which opens at The Library for the Performing Arts in Lincoln Center onOctober 31, 2016 and is on display through June 30, 2017.

The Disc Jockey Was A Lady, a new play with music written by, and starring Dolly Ellen Friedman will be presented at the Bruno Walter Auditorium (Lincoln Center Library of the Performing Arts), 40 Lincoln Plaza - Enter on Amsterdam at 65th Street) at 158 West 72nd Street (bet Broadway -Columbus Ave) on Thursday, April 14th at 6:00pm. Admission is Free for this delightful, fun, warm and heart-full show that features songs of the forties from such composers as Cole Porter, Duke Ellington and Rodgers and Hart and others. The show also features musical theatre veteran actor Ross Hewitt. It is directed by Alyson Reim and staged by Broadway choreographer Sharon Halley. Phil Hall is the Musical director and arranger.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic's dynamic Assistant Conductor Mirga Grazinyte-Tyla shares her passion for Weinberg's ballet music from 1955 and Tchaikovsky's Fourth Symphony as she leads the LA Phil in three performances, tonight through Saturday, December 10 through 12, at 8 pm. Violinist Hilary Hahn performs Vieuxtemps' Concerto No. 4, a piece that has been part of her repertoire since she was 10 years old and that she recorded earlier this year.
