Chicago cabaret singer Kevin Wood will bring his new show, 'Taking A Chance' to the Arthur Newman Theater on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 2 PM. The show features songs that point a comical and even poignant light at life, relationships, careers, health, aging, retirement, and more. Joining Kevin will be local pianist, Joel Baker. The Arthur Newman Theater is located at the Joslyn Center at 73750 Catalina Way in Palm Desert. The show is part of the 10th season of Cabaret On Sundays Series presented by Les Michaels. Tickets for the show are $15 cash only at the box office that opens at 1 PM.

Local entertainer Bonnie Gilgallon will debut her new one-woman cabaret concert on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the Arthur Newman Theater in Palm Desert. The show is entitled "Bonnie Sings Rosie" and the Rosie is the incomparable Rosemary Clooney. Bonnie's show is part of the Cabaret On Sundays Series 10th season and presented by Les Michaels. Joining Bonnie will be pianist Joel Baker and Danny Flahive on bass. Tickets for the show are $15 cash only and sold at the door that opens at 1 pm for the 2 pm show.

Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus launches their 20th Anniversary Season with 'Men in Tights - A Holiday Spectacular.' December 14-16 at The Annenberg Theatre in Palm Springs.  In ACT I, The chorus will present songs and dances to transport you to the Renaissance when knights were bold. 'Christmas in the Cloisters,' Boar's Head Carol,' 'Sing We Now of Christmas' and 'Gloucestershire Wassail' music from the time of Camelot will have you experiencing holidays with a king and his court.

The Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus (PSGMC) and Palm Canyon Theatre (PCT) join theatrical forces on Sunday, September 30 at 7:00 p.m. as they bring an enchanted evening of 'The Best Of Rodgers And Hammerstein' to the desert to benefit both organizations. This cast for includes two-time Emmy® nominated actress and singer Bobbie Eakes along with the vocal talents of desert favorites Theresa Jewett, Charles Herrera, and Keisha D, who will perform numbers written and composed by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. Members of the Palm Canyon Theatre Company will sing selections from Oklahoma!  the Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus will present  'There is Nothing Like a Dame' from South Pacific, 'We Kiss in a Shadow' from The King and I and 'Boys and Girls Like You and Me' from State Fair.  The concert will be followed by a reception under the stars.

Vocalist, Gerald Colucci will sing live with Joel Baker on piano, some of the many songs made famous by Italian Singers past and present and from genres including, Popular Standards, Broadway, Great American Songbook and Opera.

A tribute to Judy Garland will be performed in a cabaret concert on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 2 PM in the Arthur Newman Theatre in Palm Desert. "Judy! Judy! Los Angeles singer and actress, Amy Brothman, will appear Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 2 PM at the Arthur Newman Theater in her hit show "Jewish Women Doing Jewish Men" for the Sundays In Summer Cabaret Series. The show explores what's become some of our country's greatest national treasures from the Broadway stages by Jewish composers and lyricists. Joining Ms. Brothman will be local pianist Joel Baker. Tickets for this show are available at the door for $11 cash only.

Desert Rose Playhouse, the Coachella Valley's main LGBT-friendly theatre, is currently presenting the world premiere of JUNK, a sweet, funny musical, written and composed by Michael Penny. The talented actors perform their roles with panache, and the company's behind-the-scenes designers help give Mr. Penny's clever material a top-notch introduction to audiences.

CLUE THE MUSICAL, as interpreted by director Lance Phillips-Martinez and music director Joel Baker, Desert Theatreworks' production is a great deal of family-friendly fun. Mr. Phillips-Martinez and Ashley Hernandez (who also plays the multiply-widowed Mrs. Peacock) have provided superb choreography. Add an excellent cast, a terrific musician (Brian Alec Thom), and the twist of giving the audience the opportunity to solve the murder, the result is a highly enjoyable 95 minutes.

Desert performer, Rosanne Hopkins' new cabaret show, "Formerly Fabulous" makes it's debut at the Arthur Newman Theatre in Palm Desert on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 2 PM. Joining her on piano will be another local, pianist Joel Baker. The show marks the 6th season finale of the popular Sundays In Summer Cabaret Series presented by Les Michaels.
