George F. Walker's FEATURING LORETTA comes to Hollywood Fringe Festival
Not Your Average Theatre Company will present George F. Walker’s Featuring Loretta at this year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival. One of Walker’s six suburban motel plays, Featuring Loretta offers a special insight into the lives of some of the down (though not necessarily out) people of the world. It presents us with a hilarious snapshot of their lives, seen through the window of their temporary environment: a generic and run-down motel room.
Palm Beach Dramaworks Presents THE BELLE OF AMHERST
Palm Beach Dramaworks closes out its 2021-22 season with The Belle of Amherst, William Luce’s popular one-woman play based on the life of Emily Dickinson. Margery Lowe, who portrayed the enigmatic poet last year when PBD joined forces with Actors’ Playhouse for a streaming coproduction of the play, returns to the role and is again directed by PBD Producing Artistic Director William Hayes.
World Premiere Play MAVERICK Depicts Orson Welles' Final Days
Executive Producers Pam Carter and The Cliplight Theater, in conjunction with Amanda Cooper/ALC Management, are pleased to announce the world premiere of Maverick, co-authored by Frank Beacham and George Demas. A dramatization of co-author Beacham's real-life experience collaborating with Orson Welles in the months leading up to his death, Maverick begins previews at The Connelly Theater (220 E. 4th St., between Ave. A & Ave. B) on February 6, with opening night set for February 13 for a limited run through March 2. An animal rights activist in Brooklyn searches for love in the dating jungle of New York City. Wilson Milam (The Lieutenant of Inishmore on Broadway, for the RSC and at the Taper) will direct the West Coast premiere of Dates and Nuts, a romantic comedy by Gary Lennon (Orange is the New Black for Netflix, Echo Theater Company's A Family Thing). Opening night is set for May 31 at the Bootleg Theater.

Signature Theatre celebrates the start of its 25th anniversary season next fall with an all-new production of Sunday in the Park with George, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical. Directed by Associate Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner and staged in the MAX Theatre, this production marks the first time Signature has produced the play since the theatre's co-production with Arena Stage in 1997.
