Boundless Theatre will continue to disrupt the conventional means of engaging in the arts as a teenager and young adult and will continue to champion the cultural voice of young people in the UK.

Addictive Beats is a missed opportunity to attract a younger generation to explore mental health. Sure, the music is crazy cool and the show promises a great vibe, but, as it is, it’s a production that only scrapes the top of its themes but saved a lot of money on seat rental.

The star cast has been announced for Addictive Beat, the explosive new play by award-winning writer Dawn King (The Trials, Donmar Warehouse; Foxfinder, The Ambassadors Theatre; Brave New World, UK Tour).  Part gig, part theatre, the show kicks off Boundless Theatre’s Autumn season with a story of two best friends who create a euphoric beat that could change their lives forever.

How do you start, when you’re starting out?  That’s the question that the Boundless team have been asking for the past two years as we developed the Boundless Drama Club, which has just launched for 15-25 year old early career theatre makers.  We’re hoping that our new approach to supporting creative ideas, providing funding and building a community around theatre is going to help many more people get started.

This autumn, Boundless Theatre will present the world premiere of How To Save The Planet When You’re A Young Carer And Broke by multi-award-winning writer Nessah Muthy.  This comic, slightly outrageous and complex piece aims to explore some of the most pressing issues facing all of us today. 

The hybrid programme of intimate in-person and digital events curated by the Artistic Director of Boundless Theatre, Rob Drummer showcases a veritable celebration of creativity bound by performance, workshops, talks, music, art, and drop-in career guidance by industry authorities. The Boundless Ideas Space is a platform for young voices to produce culture for positive social change.

Boundless Theatre today announces the appointment of Rosie Allimonos as Chair of the Board. Allimonos, who is currently Global Director of Digital Content at BBC Studios, succeeds outgoing Chair Charles Glanville. Rosie joins the Board of Trustees; David Beardmore, Claire Dikecoglu, Simon Gomes, Rafia Hussain, Michelle Matherson, Danielle Rodriguez, Spencer Simmons, Alistair Wilkinson, and Sam Zdzieblo.

Boundless Theatre has announced October2020, a unique performance for 15-25 year olds where the show arrives in a box and the audience is the performer, created by Nassim Soleimanpour (White Rabbit Red Rabbit), with seven writers: Natasha Brown, Conor Hunt, Lauren Lopez, Josh Merritt, Samantha O'Rourke, Tricia Wey and Sky Yang.

At Boundless, we haven't stopped. We work with and for young adults aged 15-25 and, as the reality of the pandemic hit, like so many theatre companies we did a lot of soul searching about what our role was now and for the future. 

Today, Boundless Theatre announces We Will Probably Never Meet. With support from Bloomberg, We Will Probably Never Meet is the first project within the Delivering Differently programme, which ensures that young adults can continue to access invaluable cultural and creative experiences.

Radio Elusia is a world where the simple act of speaking or listening - even if you're an average person with no ill intent - can get you into serious trouble. I find this such a dramatically exciting premise, and that's what drew me to this project. What's great about the way our writer Nina Segal has put this world together is that the listener is automatically a part of this world just by listeninga?? and is therefore potentially in trouble.

Boundless Theatre presents the full cast for Nina Segal's bold debut fiction podcast: Radio Elusia. The new five-episode drama, directed by Boundless' Artistic Director Rob Drummer, will launch in April 2020. Robert Awosusi joins Drummer as Associate Director in directing Joseph Adelakun, Valerie Vansovica, Chantelle Amon, Megan Jarvie, Pip Williams, and Joe Matty. The podcast will feature music and sound design by FATHER.

Boundless Theatre and Boom Shakalaka Productions today announce the Edinburgh Festival Fringe run of new musical Parakeet by Brigitte Aphrodite and Quiet Boy. The pair renew their collaboration with director Laura Keefe following My Beautiful Black Dog, which toured the UK following a sold-out run at Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2015. The production opens at Paines Plough's ROUNDABOUT @ Summerhall on 4 August, with previews from 31 July, and runs until 25 August.

Boundless Theatre today announces the four recipients of the inaugural Boundless Accelerator Bursary funded by the Garfield Weston Foundation. Aimed specifically at supporting the co-creation of new work with teenagers, this year the bursary focuses on mental health and wellbeing with the project culminating in a showing on 4 December 2019 in London. The four chosen recipients, who will be provided with £2500 for the year, are actor and theatre-maker Ryan Gilmartin with Barbarians, actor and theatre-maker Natalya Martin with Carnival, digital theatre company Produced Moon with Run Code and arts production company Nouveau Riche with For Black Boys Who Have Considered Suicide When The Hue Was Too Heavy.

Artistic Director of Boundless Theatre, Rob Drummer, today announces a new production for 2019 - The Parakeet Experience by Bridget Aphrodite and Quiet Boy. The production will play in March and May of 2019, with further dates to be announced.
