In life, Malcolm Ewen, the long-time production stage manager at Steppenwolf Theatre Company and a decades-long member of the board of Season of Concern, was a tireless advocate for Chicago’s theater community. In addition to his distinguished career at Steppenwolf his leadership presence was felt from The Goodman Theatre in Chicago to Weston Playhouse in Vermont. 

Across the album’s ten new songs, Blackberry Smoke continue to embody Georgia’s rich musical legacy as they have for the past two decades, honoring the people, places and sounds of their home state.

Cola Concerts has announced a new show with Southern rockers Blackberry Smoke and North Mississippi Allstars. Both bands will headline a concert at the Columbia Speedway Entertainment Center on Friday, April 23 at 7:00 PM.

Blackberry Smoke will kick off their extensive “Spirit Of The South Tour: A Celebration of Southern Rock and Roll” this summer with special guests The Allman Betts Band, The Wild Feathers and founding member of The Allman Brothers Band, Jaimoe. Newly confirmed stops include Asbury Park's Stone Pony Summer Stage, Boston's Rockland Trust Bank Pavilion, New York's The Rooftop at Pier 17, Detroit's Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at FreedomHill, Irving's Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory, Atlanta's Fox Theatre and Nashville's Ascend Amphitheatre among several others.
