Interview: Sarah Gorden of TIN CAT SHOES at Nutley Little Theatre
Nutley Little Theatre presents Tin Cat Shoes, written by Trish Harnetiaux and directed by Sarah Gorden. I had the pleasure of interview Sarah. Tin Cat Shoes is a madcap odyssey through a wilderness of corporate bureaucracy and crippling human dependencies. Blessed with the can-do American spirit, a troop of dedicated shoe store employees embark on a journey of personal expansion. But when 'work is your life' and systems breakdown, all that remains is you, a casino, and the truth.
RSPC Announces Its Outdoor NYC Parks Tour This Summer
The first play featured in the touring series is “Playing Possum” by Holly Hepp-Galván. In this retelling of Mexican folklore, the story follows Possum's adventures where perhaps he plays one trick too many. Presented with both English and Spanish language elements, this play for families will have children laughing while they think about what it really means to be clever.
The Onomatopoeia Theatre Company Presents BETTY'S SUMMER VACATION
Looking for a little rest and time to herself, Betty rents a summer share at the beach. But Betty's luck turns to delicious lunacy when this sensible Everywoman gets drawn into the chaotic world of some very unsavory housemates - her friend Trudy who talks too much; the lewd, seminaked Buck, who tries to have sex with everyone; and Keith, a possible serial killer who hides in his room with a mysterious hat box. With sand between her toes, walking a thin line between sanity and survival, poor Betty will leave her summer vacation more terrorized than tan.

UC San Diego to Present Dance Performance THE IMPLICIT SELF This Week
The UC San Diego Department of Theatre and Dance presents The Implicit Self, a continuous dance practice in which director Veronica Santiago Moniello destabilizes space by redirecting the iconography that possesses her way of moving. Based on Moniello's last research, 'The Origin of an Implicit Body Language,' which was developed during the summer of 2016 in Venezuela and supported by CILAS, Center for Latin American & Caribbean Studies and Fundacion Androginos from Merida, Venezuela, the performance is an ongoing process of experimentation. It runs April 20-22, 7:30 p.m., at the Molli and Arthur Wagner Dance Building, Dance Studio 3 in the Joan and Irwin Jacobs Theatre District on UC San Diego's campus.
