Broadway in Bryant Park is back! iHeartMedia New York's 106.7 LITE FM kicked of its 2022 season of the beloved series today with FREE performances all August long.
Just yesterday, 106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park returned this for a one-day-only event! Hosted by 106.7 LITE FM's Cubby & Christine, from the Cubby & Christine Morning Show, this year's annual presentation of open-air lunch hour performances was presented by Mercedes-Benz and Orgain.
Billy McGuigan's company, Rave On Productions, will debut the first show in The Omaha Series this weekend with Hedwig and the Angry Inch, performing a limited run at The Waiting Room in Benson. The Omaha Series is made up of four rock-musicals performed in a variety of venues around the Omaha Area.
Hedwig and the Angry Inch will come to The Waiting Room Lounge as part of the Omaha Series. Hedwig features music and lyrics by John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask, and is directed by Kimberly Faith Hickman.
I could rave on and on about how fun it was to be outside the Omaha Community Playhouse enjoying the hits of Buddy Holly as only Billy McGuigan and his band can do. So I will.

The Last 5 Years is an emotionally powerful and intimate musical about a man and a woman who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The musical's unconventional structure consists of an aspiring actress Cathy Hiatt (played by Jenna Pastuszek) telling her story backwards, while budding novelist Jamie Wellerstein (played by Max Meyers) tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.
