Soprano Liudmyla Monastyrska will sing the title role in Puccini's Tosca on April 8 and 12, replacing Angela Gheorghiu, who is ill. She will also sing the final performance on April 15, as was previously announced.

Edinburgh International Festival has revealed full details of a month-long digital programme series, Edinburgh International Festival At Home in partnership with abrdn, alongside a video featuring an excerpt of a brand-new poem by Edinburgh Makar, Hannah Lavery.

Puccini’s thrilling masterpiece Tosca returns to the Metropolitan Opera for 15 performances, October 4, 2022–April 15, 2023.

The orchestra includes refugees; Ukrainian members of European orchestras, including the Tonkunstler Orchestra of Vienna, the Belgian National Orchestra and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra; and musicians from the Kyiv National Opera, National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra and Kharkiv Opera, among Ukrainian ensembles.
