45North announced the cast for the world premiere of Fran Bushe's A Gig for Ghosts, winner of the Tony Craze Award 2019. Directed by Ria Parry (co-director of North Wall), the show is performed by Hanora Kamen, Rori Hawthorn, and Liz Kitchen.

Consumed by Karis Kelly is today announced as the winning script for The Women's Prize for Playwriting 2021. The Prize, now in its second year, is produced by Ellie Keel and Paines Plough, with Principal Partner 45North and in association with Sonia Friedman Productions.

The album features the co-composers’ folk-traditional orchestral hybrid score for director Kay Cannon’s modern spin on the classic tale Cinderella from Sony Pictures Entertainment and Amazon Studios.

Created and developed throughout lockdown, Written on the Waves champions new writers and unheard voices, releasing six world premières from emerging and established artists and pushing the boundaries of the audio form.

Mooncake by Nicola T. Chang and Isabella Leung, is available from 22 July, FOUND by Abi Zakarian, is released 5 August, and Rime of the Second Sister by Ava Wong Davies, is released 19 August.

Minneapolis native, rapper, singer and writer Dessa is now adding playwright to her list of titles. She has written and is starring in an audio play ON THE LINE, part of UK company 45North’s Written on the Waves season, and the show premieres tonight (June 25, 2021). She shared some thoughts on the play and her career in this Q&A.

Shakespeare's Globe has announced further casting for Everything I Ever Wanted to Tell My Daughter About Men, a new black comedy by actor and writer Lorien Haynes, directed by Tara Fitzgerald (Brassed Off, Game of Thrones), being hosted in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse on Thursday 20 February.

Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, before moving to the UK in 2016, company founder Jessica Rose McVay gives a nod to her hometown with '45North' being the longitude coordinates of Minneapolis.
