Dances With Film aka DWF:LA is about to unleash its 26th annual independent film festival from June 22-July 2 at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood. 

Over 32 productions, including mainstage comedy The 39 Steps, and one-night performances from Mary Walsh, Gordie Johnson, Neil Osborne, Ofra Harnoy, Celeigh Cardinal, Julian Taylor, Rebecca Perry, and more.

Blissful State of Surrender is the first play by Bosnian-Canadian playwright, Sanita Fejzić. Fejzić fled the Bosnian genocide as a child and spent her formative years as a refugee in Europe before settling in Ottawa. Her experiences are reflected in her work and, given what is happening in Ukraine right now, the show feels almost too close for comfort.

LIFE IN BOOBS, the original musical journey, will have a landmark, four-month run at the celebrated Rockwell Table & Stage in the heart of Los Feliz, CA. Opening on Saturday, March 7th, LIFE IN BOOBS will play the first Saturday of every month on the same stage that graced the likes of Jeff Goldblum, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Janel Parrish, Frankie Grande, Garrett Clayton, Emma Hunton, among others.

This February, the comedic musical, LIFE IN BOOBS arrives at Pico Playhouse for an exclusive, limited run. With Books & Lyrics by Casey Christensen (The Donkey Show), composed by celebrity vocal coach Rachael Lawrence (Grey's Anatomy, Glee), and conceived by Jennifer Goodman, the celebrated musical showcases true trials and tribulations of women everywhere, with original songs, comedic vignettes and dramatic monologues. LIFE IN BOOBS will run two nights only on Friday, February 7 and Saturday, February 8 at 8:00pm in west Los Angeles.

The dynamic story shared through comedy skits and songs deals with the journeys many women face from admiring their mother's chests (a?oeOne day I'll be like Mommy or Barbie!a??), to training bras and cup sizes, dating while dealing with wandering eyes (a?oeCleavage'), to pumping at work and breastfeeding in public (a?oeDon't Blame Me, My Baby is Hungrya??), to facing breast cancer. The energetic songs incorporate humorous pieces like a?oeLife in Boobs,a?? a?oeWife Beater Tank Top,a?? and a?oeSuck It, Cancera?? to the inspirational a?oeI'm Dianea?? which will tug at your heartstrings and inspire you to accept yourself exactly the way you are.

On September 21st the new, comedic musical, LIFE IN BOOBS, debuts at Second City Hollywood. The Shaw Festival returns to the wondrous world of Narnia for a second time with a new adaptation of C.S. Lewis's The Horse and His Boy. Directed by Christine Brubaker and adapted by Governor General's Award-nominee and playwright Anna Chatterton, this world premiere opens the Shaw Festival's 2019 season on April 6 at the Festival Theatre.

 Audiences now have a chance to see why the new, comedic musical, LIFE IN BOOBS, got a standing ovation from its first workshop this past October. This extended workshop will be on Sunday, December 16th at 8:30pm at Pico Playhouse Theater in Los Angeles.

Directed by Chanda Gibson for the third consecutive time, Les Zinspires: L'age de raison (The Age of Reason) will be presented at the Berkeley Street Theatre from November 29 to December 7, 2018 with General Audience Performances featuring English Surtitles on November 30 and December 5 at 8pm.

Von Heidecke's Chicago Festival Ballet performs its 29th annual production of “The Nutcracker” at the McAninch Arts Center (MAC), Saturday, Dec. 15 at 2 and 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 16at 1 and 5 p.m. New Philharmonic, under the baton of Maestro Kirk Muspratt, will perform Tchaikovsky's classic “Nutcracker” score live for this full-scale, lavish production. As a special treat, will be photo opportunities with Santa and a three-foot tall wooden Nutcracker in the lobby.

All good epic adventures begin somewhere. A new adaptation of C.S. Lewis's The Magician's Nephew by Michael O'Brien makes its world premiere and opens the Shaw Festival's 2018 season. Under the direction of Artistic Director Tim Carroll, the creative team and cast bring the story of Narnia's origins and its mythical multiverse to the Festival Theatre stage.

Kate Hennig, who steps into the role of Associate Artistic Director later this season, adapts four of Oscar Wilde's tales - The Happy Prince, The Nightingale and the Rose, The Remarkable Rocket and The Selfish Giant - for the stage in Wilde Tales.
