Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre, together with presenting sponsor The Children's Trust, has announced audition dates for the 13th anniversary of Young Talent Big Dreams - the most widespread, local free youth talent competition in Miami-Dade County.
Fred Voelpel, Eugene Lee & More to Receive 2022 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards
TDF has announced that celebrated costume designer Fred Voelpel and legendary scenic designer Eugene Lee are among the 2022 TDF/Irene Sharaff Award recipients. Although Mr. Voelpel passed away in June, he will be honored posthumously with the TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design.

Yesterday evening at The Smith Center, Bank of America announced the recipient of its $200,000 Neighborhood Builders grant, local youth literacy nonprofit Spread the Word Nevada. Spread the Word Nevada will utilize its $200,000 Neighborhood Builders grant to extend its school year reading program into the summer months and expand its literacy offerings into new schools. Legendary costume designer ALBERT WOLSKY and world renowned scenic designer MING CHO LEE are among the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 23 at 6:30pm at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Two-time Academy Award-winner Albert Wolsky will receive the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design, and Tony Award-winning scenic designer and educator Ming Cho Lee will receive the TDF/Irene Sharaff Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design.
