An HBO documentary following the making of tonight’s sold-out, one-night-only, reunion concert of Spring Awakening benefitting The Actors Fund, is now in production. Produced by RadicalMedia, the documentary will follow the original stars as they come together for the first time in 15 years.

The Actors Fund announced today that the original cast from the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, Spring Awakening, will reunite for a special, one-night-only benefit concert.

Laura Esquivel's 1989 novel, Like Water For Chocolate, will be developed for the stage as a brand new musical.

Casting has been announced for The Trial, the next play in the Politics of the Absurd reading series presented by Christopher Maring/ CM Stage Productions. Trouble Jones Productions has announced the World Premiere of RED FLAG, written and performed by Melanie Maras and directed by Kate Sullivan. RED FLAG will preview on Thursday, April 2 at 8:00pm and will open on Friday, April 3 and run through Sunday, April 26 at The Lost Studio, 130 S. La Brea Ave. in Los Angeles, 90036.

Spring Awakening Producers Tom Hulce and Ira Pittleman have announced that a 2nd national tour produced by NETworks Presentations will launch in October with spots scheduled across the country. This second tour will feature the same design, direction and staging as the first tour, which closed this spring, but will be presented by an entirely new cast. This second tour will launch at Western Hall in Macomb, IL on October 15, 2010.
