Birmingham Hippodrome has announced record attendance figures for this year’s pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk, with 120,000 people having seen the show during its six-week run in the city. The figures make Jack and the Beanstalkthe theatre’s best attended pantomime in over 20 years.

Wolverhampton Grand Theatre is celebrating its 125th Anniversary with a host of projects this year, one of which will be a glittering gala dinner at Molineux's WV1 Bar to raise funds for the Grand's charitable activity.
Ten local Primary Schools have taken part in a Grand Theatre project which saw performance poet and comedienne Emma Purshouse deliver creative writing workshops in schools throughout the year. This inspired them to write short bedtime stories, some of which were published in a book and all of the entries are now on display at the Light House in Wolverhampton until the end of January.
