SF Sketchfest kicks off its 21st comedy festival with legend Eric Idle at the Castro Theatre on Thursday, January 18 followed by over 200 shows taking place through February 4 in venues across San Francisco.

SF Sketchfest has revealed the initial lineup for the 2024 Comedy Festival in San Francisco. Tickets go on sale on November 19.

The award-winning ensemble cast of “Mythic Quest” is set to return for season two, and will be joined by new guest stars including multi-platinum artist Snoop Dogg, 'Drunk History' creator, comedian, actor Derek Waters, and more.

Francis Ford Coppola, Yo-Yo Ma, Jenny Slate, Mona Chalabi, Drunk History's Derek Waters, Louder Than A Riot's Sidney Madden and Rodney Carmichael, and Ophira Eisenberg have joined the lineup for On Air Fest 2021.

Well, history fans. You’ll have to go back to learning your lesson the old-fashioned sober way. Comedy Central is putting a cork in DRUNK HISTORY, according to Deadline.

Comedy Central today ordered 20 more episodes of Crank Yankers from Jimmy Kimmel's KIMMELOT production company, in association with ITV America.

ATX Television Festival has announced additional programming for year nine of the festival, which will take place June 4-7, 2020, in Austin, Texas.   ATX Season 9 will include reunions for two beloved comedies from creator/director/executive producer  Bill Lawrence: “Scrubs,” and “Cougar Town,” which was co-created by Kevin Biegel (“Enlisted”). Lawrence will join “Scrubs” cast members Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, John C. McGinley, Judy Reyes, Neil Flynn and Christa Miller for a reunion panel celebrating 10 years since the series finale. 

Comedy Central and Refinery29 today announced a digital-content partnership for two series from Comedy Central Productions produced in partnership with Refinery29 that will identify and showcase an all-female lineup of fast-rising comedians with distinct voices. Slated to premiere next spring, the series will be co-branded and distributed on Comedy Central and Refinery29 digital platforms.

Beloved comedy series RENO 911! has been greenlit for a new, seventh season by Quibi, it was announced today by Quibi and producing partner Comedy Central Productions. The ensemble comedy was created by and stars Robert Ben Garant, Kerri Kenney-Silver and Thomas Lennon, all of whom are attached to write and star in the new season. Peter Principato of Artists First will executive produce the series along with Danny DeVito, Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher of Jersey Television. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

Comedy Central returns to the Jacob K. Javits Center at New York Comic Con with interactive activations celebrating the 23rd season of South Park and the long-waited return of Crank Yankers. Comic Con badgeholders can check out the events from Thursday, October 3 through Saturday, October 5 from 10:00am – 7:00pm and Sunday, October 6 from 10:00am – 5:00pm.

 Comedy Central today announced a first-look animation deal with Emmy-winning writer and producer Donick Cary, who will develop and produce animation projects across all platforms for the #1 brand in comedy and its new studio-production arm, Comedy Central Productions. As part of his deal, Cary will develop his own ideas, and work with other talent and creators to identify and develop animated properties for Comedy Central and other platforms.

Comedy Central and Derek Waters signed a first look all-media deal, with the #1 brand in comedy also picking up a 16-episode seventh season of Waters' Emmy® Award-winning series Drunk History, it was announced today by Sarah Babineau and Jonas Larsen, Co-Heads of Original Content, Comedy Central.

With a first public look at the returning favorite, Comedy Central announced today that Crank Yankers kicks off an all-new season on September 25th at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT, following the season 23 premiere of South Park.

The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills will take visitors on a trip through the hilarious world of Comedy Central's wildly popular television show Drunk History, when it unveils the Museum of Drunk History. The exclusive exhibit will open on January 9, 2019, and run through January 20. Admission is free and open to the public.

It is announced today that US film and television star Jack McBrayer will make his West End debut in the role of Ogie in Waitress, which will begin preview performances on 8 February ahead of its official opening night on 7 March at London's Adelphi Theatre.

Comedy Central's Drunk History and Corporate are both back with new episodes beginning Tuesday, January 15 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT and 10:30 p.m. ET/PT respectively.
