Peninsula Players Theatre, America's oldest professional resident summer theater and Door County's theatrical icon, closes its 87th season with the madcap musical whodunit 'Murder for Two' with book and lyrics by Kellen Blair and book and music by Joe Kinosian.

Burlesque acts, performance artists and sideshow performers are to join the powerhouse musical comedy star Wilfredo next Friday, 19 August at Coney Island USA.

Murder for Two: Holiday Edition opens tonight at Farmers Alley Theatre! It's a hilarious musical murder were one actor investigates the crime, the other plays all of the suspects, and they both play the piano. BWW Detroit had moment to speak with star and co-creator, Joe Kinosian, about creative and festive show happening in West Michigan.

The season is a celebration of the revival of the most glorious and notorious of the 'girlie revues' in Coney Island history and features some of the very best of burlesque and variety performers from the New York scene, including The Maine Attraction, Fem Appeal, Gigi Bonbon, Pinkie Special, Bambi the Mermaid and Deity Delgado.

This April, Ensemble Theatre Company will present five live-streamed performances of the critically acclaimed 90-minute one-act play An Iliad. Each live performance will be aired and may be watched on computers, smart TVs, iPads, and iPhones.

Later this week, Billy Stritch sings Mel Torme opens The Cabaret Project of St. Louis' virtual season, TRIBUTES. New York's celebrated singer-pianist brings the legendary Mel Torme's swing and swagger direct from Birdland nightclub.

HOVEY BURGESS, the internationally celebrated juggler, clown and circus performer will join the cast of Matt Roper's downtown variety show WILFREDO A GO GO this coming Monday night, 3/9 at the Slipper Room. Burgess will appear as 'the Polar Bare', in an act comprising the art-forms of circus, burlesque and comedy alongside his performance partner, Lil' Miss Lixx.

Three of New York City's most beloved downtown acts join the comic singing sensation Wilfredo for the October edition of Wilfredo a Go Go! tonight. Cassandra Rosebeetle, Jenny C'est Quoi and Lucy Licious are all lined up to appear in the monthly variety show, produced and presented by the Slipper Room at 9.30pm.

Three of New York City's most beloved downtown acts join the comic singing sensation Wilfredo for the August edition of Wilfredo a Go Go! tonight. Each Porchlight Revisits production begins with the 'Behind the Show Backstory' multimedia presentation, created and hosted by Artistic Director Michael Weber, discussing that evening's production including the show's creative history, juicy backstage gossip and much more. Comedian, poet and author Rick Shapiro is to appear in his own show 'Restless' tonight at the Slipper Room in the Lower East Side. Shapiro, one of the most innovative and surreal comedic talents and a staple of the NYC and LA Underground comedy scene, began his career in the early 1980's performing stand-up at Catch A Rising Star on Broadway.

On the fourth Monday of every month, two of NYC's most beloved underground acts join forces to bring a monthly, intimate evening of entertainment to the legendary Slipper Room. Charming troubadour and raconteur Corn Mo brings his patented combination of original songs, quirky, off-kilter anecdotes, and charisma, framed by The Love Show Dancers' dance performance, burlesque, and saucy surprises! Trivia contests entertain with questions charaded by the Love Show Dancers with prizes of insignificant worth!

Burlesque legends Dirty Martini and Julie Atlas Muz are to appear in the festive edition of the variety show Wilfredo a Go Go! at the Slipper Room 12/17. Circus icon Hovey Burgess is also earmarked to perform alongside burlesque starlet Lil' Miss Lixx.

A national tour of 26 cities in 18 states has been announced by the company of Tainted Cabaret, the downtown artist collective formed of burlesque starlet Ula Uberbusen (USA), the comedy performer Matt Roper (UK), circus artist Miss Ekaterina (Russia) and boylesque act James and the Giant Pasty (Canada)

The Secret Variety Society have announced another edition of their variety show featuring the comedian Matt Roper, singer-songwriter Sabrina Chap, stand-up magician Magic Brian and circus artist Miss Ekaterina at the Slipper Room the house of varieties on the Lower East Side this Wednesday, 25th October at 8pm.
