Glenn Close to Receive Maltin Modern Master Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival

Glenn Close is set to receive the prestigious Maltin Modern Master Award at the 34th annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival, the festival announced today.  Close will be honored on Saturday, February 2nd for her longstanding contributions to the film industry, most recently gracing the silver screen in Sony Pictures Classics' The Wife. Leonard Maltin will return for his 28th year to moderate the evening.

Artists, friends and peers of this year's five Kennedy Center honorees converged in Washington, D.C., on December 4 to present entertaining and heartfelt tributes at the 34th Annual Kennedy Center Honors, an entertainment special to be broadcast which was broadcast on CBS Tuesday night, December 27. For the ninth consecutive year, Caroline Kennedy served as host. Yesterday we brought you a repeat of the first part of the moving tribute to Broadway legend Barbara Cook and today, we bring you a recap of the musical tributes performed by Broadway's own Sutton Foster, Kelli O'Hara, Patti LuPone, Glenn Close, Audra McDonald, Laura Osnes, and more!

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts this year honors singer Barbara Cook, singer and songwriter Neil Diamond, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, saxophonist and composer Sonny Rollins, and actress Meryl Streep as their 2011 honorees. The special broadcast of the gala will air on December 27 on CBS.
