We recently sat down with Angeli Bayani, who plays Harper Pitt in the Atlantis Theatrical production. Angeli is cast alongside theater stalwarts Pinky Amador, Cherie Gil, Topper Fabregas, Markki Stroem, Andoy Ranay, Nelsito Gomez, and Art Acuna.

Tony Kushner's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play 'Angels in America: Millennium Approaches,' the first of two plays, opens tonight at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in Makati City (4th Floor, Tower II, RCBC Plaza, 6819 Ayala Ave., Makati).

To kick off its 20th anniversary, Atlantis Theatrical Entertainment Group is proud to be mounting the Manila production of Tony Kushner's ANGELS IN AMERICA: MILLENNIUM APPROACHES with some of the most critically-acclaimed Filipino actors: Art Acuna as Roy Cohn, Pinky Amador as the Angel, Angeli Bayani as Harper Pitt, Topper Fabregas as Prior Walter, Cherie Gil as Hannah Pitt, Nelsito Gomez as Louis Ironson, Andoy Ranay as Belize, and Markki Stroem as Joe Pitt.

'Adrian Pang is wonderful to work with, such an instinctive actor! It was so much fun to play off him, I just love him! I hope we get to work together again soon,' says Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, who along with Lea Salonga, make up the first three internationally acclaimed Filipina actresses - the third being Joanna Ampil - to have ever played Fantine in Alain Boublil and Claude Michel Schonberg's LES MISERABLES , playing at The Esplanade beginning May 31 onwards.

There are no small parts, only small actors; and Art Acuña, a US-based theater, film, and television actor, whose recent performance as restaurant manager, Harry Shaw, in the television series THE KITCHEN MUSICAL received an International Emmy nomination announced just yesterday, is anything but narrow-minded or narcissistic.

Local theatregoers can still catch Atlantis Productions and Singapore Repertory Theatre's joint production of Yasmina Reza's Tony Award-winning play GOD OF CARNAGE, starring Tony winner Lea Salonga, Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, Adrian Pang, and Art Acuña, on Saturday, July 21 at 2 and 8 p.m., and on Sunday, July 22 at 3 and 8 p.m. (Friday, July 20 show is sold out) at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza in Makati City - unless you would rather travel to Singapore in November in time for the show's run at the DBS Arts Centre.
