Up and coming playwright, Dori Feinstein, has written a new play intended to discuss the gray areas of consent in a culture that doesn't teach it. Dori was recent seen as a PlayPenn intern as well as in the Tribe 12 Fellowship Program, their project for which was designed to create and cater to open dialogue on consent through theatre and this new play is a direct example of how to use theatre for such a process. Directed by new and devised director, Anastassia Vertjanova, who was recently seen directing Blues For A Red Nation and Footballs, this piece will explore how drugs, trauma, and youth can affect consent, sexuality, and healing.

The piece, which examines the contemporary abortion debate in America, will serve as the centerpiece of the FringeArts High Pressure Fire Service Festival, dedicated to promoting the next generation of vital theatre coming from Philadelphia. Theatre Philadelphia, the region's marketing and leadership organization for theatre, proudly announces the 2018 nominees for the Barrymore Award for Excellence in Theatre. Circadium School of Contemporary Circus presents the launch of Test Flights, a brand-new multi-disciplinary work-in-progress showing every month. Professional artists working in any discipline of live performance, including circus, theatre, dance, spoken-word, music and performance art, are invited to participate. Test Flights will be curated by Circadium's Physical Theatre Instructor Ben Grinberg. This new monthly performance series is free and open to the public.
The Wilma Theater is excited to announce Lee Minora in Residency in the latter half of its 2017-18 Season. A solo artist, comedian and current teaching artist at the Wilma, Minora will develop her second solo show White Feminist as a part of the three-month long residency. With White Feminist, Minora is exposing the ugly truth behind respectability politics, "leaning in', and self-serving feminist hypocrisy done all wrong. White Feminist will have its first public showing at the Wilma Theater as a part of the HotHouse Crush Series on March 24th, under the direction of Alice York, co-artistic director of Lightning Rod Special.
