Wigmore Hall Director John Gilhooly has announced the 2024/25 Season. With more than 550 concerts, featuring more than 2,600 musicians, spanning September 2024 to July 2025, Wigmore Hall presents the largest classical music programme in the UK.

Rehearsal images have been released for The Royal Opera’s new production of Handel’s final masterpiece Jephtha, which opens for six performances on the main stage at Covent Garden on Wednesday 8 November 2023.  Check out the photos here!

The Royal Opera House has announced its 2023/24 Season, unveiling a bold programme of thrilling new work, UK premieres and much-loved revivals, alongside the biggest national learning programme in our history, exciting new regional partnerships, and a host of daytime events, behind the scenes tours, exhibitions and artistic Insights at our home in the heart of Covent Garden. 

I’ve heard the opera a number of times at the Met over the years and this year’s run holds up with the most breathtaking of them. Despite the number of star performances among the magnificent ensemble currently being heard at the Met, the star of the show doesn’t have a single word to say or note to sing. It's the John Dexter production that does it.

John Dexter’s classic production of Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites will return to the Met stage for five performances, starting January 15.

Featured Artist Sheku Kanneh-Mason plays Ernest Bloch's Schelomo  (26 Feb) under Finnish conductor Jukka-Pekka Saraste in a programme that also includes excerpts from Berlioz Roméo et Juliette and Sibelius's First Symphony.

Raehann Bryce-Davis will sing Baba the Turk in the May and June performances of Stravinsky's The Rake's Progress, replacing Alice Coote.

The summer festival programme features an exciting line up of artists-in-residence, world premieres and legendary performers. Audiences will explore one of the most beautiful areas in the UK as they move from venue to venue, from idyllic small village churches to stunning country houses and stately homes.

Opera North today announces a year of cultural encounters and myths retold, in eight productions for its 2022-23 season.

The Metropolitan Opera today announced its 2022–23 season, which features seven new productions, the most in ten seasons. Opening Night is September 27 with the company premiere of Cherubini’s Medea, starring soprano Sondra Radvanovsky in the title role alongside tenor Matthew Polenzani in David McVicar’s new staging, conducted by Carlo Rizzi.

The National Symphony Orchestra will continue its Classical series this March with four subscription concert programs at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall, including a two-week residency with conductor, composer, and 2019 Kennedy Center Honoree Michael Tilson Thomas.

Described by the UK's Daily Telegraph as one of the Top Ten Music Festivals, the Riga Jurmala Music Festival 2022 comprises four weekends each presenting a major international orchestra: the Mariinsky Orchestra with Valery Gergiev; the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra with Michael Tilson Thomas, the Mariss Jansons Festival Orchestra with Klaus Mäkelä and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra with Manfred Honeck.

Wigmore Hall, home to UK's largest classical music concert programme, rings in 2022 with 162 concerts from January to March.
