A Christmas Carol: A Capitol Tradition Returns to Hatbox Theatre.
In this original adaption of the holiday classic, Hatbox Theatre focuses on how the dream-like qualities of Dickens’ beloved ghost story can bring about redemption. Is it “an undigested bit of beef” – as Ebenezer Scrooge himself states in the original story – that leads Scrooge to have bad dreams, or is he really being visited by ghosts intent on helping him redeem himself? Audiences, too, will wonder if they are dreaming when they are immersed in sound, lights, and projections that bring out these eerier aspects of Scrooge’s fateful night.
Jill Pinard of Three Witches Productions takes the helm once again directing the script she adapted for Hatbox in 2016. In creating this script Pinard set out to leave as much of Dickens’ original as undigested as possible. And Concord favorite Eric Hodges returns to play Scrooge for the fourth year.

Dickens’ A Christmas Carol adapted by Jill Pinard returns to the Hatbox December 1-17. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. Tickets are $25 for adults; $22 for members, seniors, and students; and $19 for senior members.
Scene Changes, by Donald Tongue, is a romantic dramedy revolving around a traveling production of A Christmas Carol in Concord, NH. Performances at the Hatbox Theatre, located at the Steeplegate Mall (by Bon Ton’s), Concord, NH.
The Boadway hit, “The Lifespan of a Fact”, produced by Lend Me a Theater, will be presented at the Hatbox Theatre in Concord, NH for three weekends from Friday, February 18 to Sunday March 6. Shows are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $22 for adults, $19 for members, seniors and students, and $16 for senior members.
The Players' Ring continues its 30th Anniversary season with the world premiere of Walter Freeman's 9/12, a provocative and compelling comedy/drama about an unexpected visitor on the day after the 9/11 World Trade Center tragedy.
Dickens' A Christmas Carol adapted by Jill Pinard returns to the Hatbox December 6-15. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm, Sundays at 2:00pm and bonus performances on Saturday, December 7 at 2:00pm and Thursday, December 12 at 7:30pm.
