All rehearsals and performances are in Westport, CT - one hour on Metro North from Grand Central station. NYC actors commute daily and travel is paid by the theatre.

Exceptional Male and Female Equity actors/singer. Non-Caucasian performers are STRONGLY encouraged to attend.

Preparation
For the roles of Matt, Luisa, Bellomy, Hucklebee and El Gallo please prepare a song in the style of the show. Accompanist provided.

For the roles of Henry and Mortimer, please prepare a 1 minute comic period monologue.

Bring picture and resume, stapled together.

MATT
Tenor, 18-22, young leading man, romantic, charismatic, energetic, a dreamer

LUISA:
His love, the definitive ingenue, soprano, innocent, grounded

EL GALLO:
Baritone, 30s/40s, powerful, charming, swarthy and extremely sexy leading man, the bad boy that no one can resist

BELLOMY:
Luisa's father, 40s/50s character man, light-hearted

HUCKLEBEE:
Matt's father, 40s/50s character man, more of a curmudgeon

HENRY:
50s/60s character man, a Shakesperean actor, very grand, always on stage

MORTIMER:
40s/50s, Henry's sidekick, buffoon, big physical comedy, does ''death scenes''
