Williamstown Theatre Festival strives to be inclusive and seeks to cast a diverse group of actors within the needs of each production. The descriptions in the breakdown include details about each character and qualities they possess. We encourage performers of all ethnicities, races, gender identities, ages, and body types, as well as performers with disabilities, to audition.
Please prepare a monologue (no more than two minutes) from contemporary or modern (1950-present) theater and/or a traditional musical theater song that shows range. Also please bring a stapled headshot and resume. All actors seeking consideration for our Cabaret Series should make plans to audition on Thursday, May 23. An accompanist will be provided on this day only.

ALREADY CAST - CABARET HOST (3 roles): Any gender, any ethnicity. The Host will be charged with creating an engaging and entertaining atmosphere. The Host will be responsible for setting the tone, introducing performers, interacting with the audience, and ensuring the smooth flow of the show. The host should have ready roughly 10 minutes of comedic material to open the cabaret, and an additional 5 to 7 minutes of material to begin act two.
ALREADY CAST - CABARET CORE COMPANY (3 roles): Any gender, any ethnicity. The Cabaret Core Company members will be charged with performing songs and selections in a solo format, in group numbers and as back up to Guest Artists. The Cabaret Core Company members are the “house band” of the cabaret and should be flexible performers who are there to help fill out the evening alongside our Guest Artists.
ALREADY CAST - GUEST ARTIST (9 roles): Any gender, any ethnicity. Guest Artists will be charged with performing songs and selections in a solo format as well as group numbers. They will be responsible for providing songs and selections from their personal, professional repertoire as well as being able to collaborate on new ideas with other Guest Artists. History with the Williamstown Theater Festival is a plus.
