Set in Istanbul and Paris, At the Periphery tells the story of those who live on the margins of society, their hopes and dreams, their struggles to earn visibility.

Sultane- 40's woman, Turkish super star similar to Opra Winfrey, a grantor of wishes

Tamar - 20's woman, Turkish, naive, excitable, loves Azad deeply, dreams of ParisTurkish, lover, dreamer

Azad - 20's man, Turkish, ambitious, crafty, loves Tamar deeply, eager to get out of the Periphery

Bilo - 30-40's man, Turkish, warm, loving, a bit of a clown, loves Dilcha dearly and wouldn't dare cross her, the soul of the Periphery

Dilcha - 30-40's woman, Turkish, from the village, open-hearted, laughs easily, her warm exterior hides a spine of steel, actually runs the show, the back bone of the Periphery

Kybélée - 40's woman, a gypsy, a story-teller, mystical, a witch, a transient that needs a home, but would never admit it
