With the recent success of the West End production do you think that it will transfer? I would love to see Cassie Levy back on Broadway.

If it does get a revival anytime soon, I don’t think it would be the current production from the West End. It didn’t win any Olivier awards, and I suspect they’d want to get a big name for a revival. In a few more years someone like Lea Michele would be quite ripe for this.

Or… we could just not do that!

The last I heard the plan was to bring the London revival to New York.

The original never recouped and I don't think this London production would last more than 6 months without a name. Also, I don't care to hear Cassie Levy scream this score, either.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I mean, say whatever you want about Levy but coming for her vocals is a bit bizarre to me. She always sounds stupendous when I see her perform.

I’d also gladly do anything to hear Alice (literally) scream this score one more time. I also wish Sherie Rene Scott could have had a shot at it.

Levy just performed at the Oliviers, and was exquisite.

Hoping to catch the tail end of the West End run before it closes. I think, without a doubt, that Cassie will bring this home to New York next year. Just don't know if the entire London cast will transfer if it does. Maybe Jack Wolfe, but that'll probably be it.

The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince

I didnt think it was a revival in the UK.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I’m a huge fan of NTN — I saw the original several times. And I was hoping the London production would move to New York. But the segment at the Olivier awards seemed to lack an edge.  I think it may have been the orchestrations. Though medleys never seem to do a show justice.

And I can’t imagine a worse choice to play the mother than Lea Michele.

If this does indeed happen, I beg of casting to stay far away from considering Lea Michele

I saw the original Broadway production many times. When the new production played in London last year I had to see it. I was lucky to see it twice and whole heartedly believe Caissie Levy deserves all of the recognition in the world for her incredible performance. Here’s hoping it comes to NYC next!

YES. I would cry happy tears if this ever happened. Although Caissie is incredible.

Was a simple enough search.

I’ve seen the sentiment a few times now about it just being Jack Wolfe and Caissie Levy coming to Broadway. I understand the reasoning behind Levy given that Michael Longhurst (the director) specifically reached out to her to do the role and that she’s usually based in NY anyway, but I’m slightly confused by Wolfe. I’ve heard that he’s fabulous and I know he’s won awards for the role, but I thought they’d be more inclined to get an American to do it. I’m unfamiliar with what it takes to get a West End actor to Broadway or vice versa so any insight would be appreciated.

Caissie was/is remarkable in this. My dream was that she would have surprised everyone and won the Olivier last week over Nicole. I can’t wait for this summer to see her again. Along with Jamie Parker who is the best Dan I’ve ever seen.

Levy sang this score so brilliantly. It's the first time I was able to not worry about the vocal health of the actor and focus on the mental health of the character. The realism of the performances was deeply affecting. I liked this much more than the original Broadway production.

This would be perfect for one of the non profits. Simple enough show to produce.

Roundabout could pick this up, similar to Caroline or Change. Another Caissie connection.

I would still love for Rachel Bay Jones to get another crack at it after the Kennedy Center production a few years back. Felt a little undercooked at the time.

Caissie sounded brilliant at the Olivier Awards. At the same time, after seeing those short clips of Heidi Blickenstaff floating around online... good lord-- that's casting I never knew I needed.

And yes, keep Lea far, far, far, far away...

If the show really transfer next spring, she'll likely lose the Tony too. Would it be the first time this ever happened?
