Wayne Bryan reluctantly leaves his role as Man in Chair in MTWichita's season finale, The Drowsy Chaperone due to medical reasons. Replacing him for the show will be John Scherer.
Dorothy won’t be the only one donning sparkly red heels this season! The Tony-winning Best musical struts into its MTWichita debut, telling the heartwarming, hilarious, and true story of a faltering shoe factory that saved itself from bankruptcy by embracing a fabulous new clientele. The production will open Wednesday, July 6th and run until Sunday, July 10th.

Music Theatre Wichita, founded in 1972, has attained an international reputation for excellence. Each summer in downtown Wichita, MTWichita self-produces five Broadway-scale musical productions, using a unique mixture of top-flight professionals from Broadway and Hollywood working hand-in-hand with talented Midwesterners. Each year thirteen administrative year-round staff, approximately 55 seasonal performers, 65 seasonal technical staff, and 30 seasonal orchestra members work together to design and create five Broadway-quality musicals.
