A Midsummer Night's Dream at Selah Theatre Project

Selah Theatre Project, in collaboration with Laurel Ridge Community College, is thrilled to announce the upcoming rendition of William Shakespeare's timeless play, "A Midsummer Night's Dream," adapted by Claudia Haas and under the direction of the talented Tabitha Jablonski. The performances are scheduled for May 17-19 and 24-26, 2024.

This adaptation offers a fresh and innovative take on the beloved classic, promising to captivate audiences with its unique interpretation while staying true to the original essence. Tabitha Jablonski, renowned for her creative vision and revitalization of stage productions, is poised to deliver a spellbinding performance that will enchant theater enthusiasts of all ages. The cast includes young actors aged 8-19.

A condensed version of Shakespeare's comedic masterpiece, this adaptation retains the original poetry while simplifying the language. The narrative is guided by the Dreamer, a contemporary student struggling to memorize (and comprehend) a Midsummer monologue. As she drifts off to sleep, Puck, a mischievous fairy, whisks her into the play itself – a realm of mischief, enchantment, and romance.

Featuring an ensemble cast including Savannah Benson, Silvia Carnell, Kiley Faulkner, Asher Fincham, Marceline Fleming, Buddy Happ, Josh Horn, Adrien Hunter, David Ludwig, Alyssah Rogers, Janiya Ross, Rez Ruggiero, Clover Runyon, Parker Smith, Oliver Varela, Eragon Vick, Jayden Vina, Katie Volkmann, Sarah Wise, and Jameson Yount.
